Jennifer M Boom – Owner, Wild Earth Wellness

Providing natural health and wellness practices in her community since 2000

Born on an air force base in Las Vegas, Jennifer has traveled and lived throughout the United States. From the Adirondack Mountains to the southern Utah desert, and from Wisconsin dairy farms to the Mt. St. Helens eruption in 1980, her experiences in nature have shaped her into the adventurer she is today. After settling into the Portland, Oregon, metro area in the late 1990s, Jennifer turned her passions for natural health and helping others into a successful massage therapy business, which has been going strong since 2001. A self-proclaimed “herb nerd,” she is always finding new ways to help clients implement herbalism and aromatherapy into their wellness routines.

Often joined by her supportive husband and two artistic, outgoing daughters, Jennifer spends her free time hiking the Pacific Northwest, gardening, wildcrafting, traveling, and paddling on a dragon boat, outrigger canoe, or kayak. Always building strong ties to her community, Jennifer has worked at local summer camps and Oregon’s outdoor school program, where she has taught rock climbing and high ropes courses and has fostered team building. She has also volunteered her time at the Corbett Children’s Theater and the Corbett Performing Arts Club, and as a board member for Dragon Sports USA.

Jennifer graduated the East-West College of Healing Arts, Portland, OR in 2000. She became a Licensed Massage Therapist in 2001 and has been an instructor for couples and infant massage. Her massage specialties include: Swedish, sports, pregnancy, infant, deep tissue, myofascial, craniosacral, aromatherapy, motor vehicle accident, and cupping.

Jennifer completed the Labor Doula program at Birthingway College of Midwifery in November, 2016. She became a Certified Labor Doula in April 2017 and a state registered Labor Doula in June 2017.

Jennifer has been working with essential oils since the late 1990s and became a Certified Aromatherapist in 2016. She is a professional member of the AIA (Alliance of International Aromatherapists), and she is currently working toward Clinical Aromatherapy credentials.
